I choose the username from reading on Slavic paganism. I use it in most forums to maintain consistency
Je'daii appeals to me because it is about balance and most paths about light or dark have a potential to become nauseating Dark types can be poseurs and annoying in needing to prove and validate themselves, or just selfish little pricks Light can be pontificating and hypocritical by ignoring and denying their own darker aspects, calling things by light life affirming names does not make them so.
of course the above statement is being blunt and dealing with extreme stereotypes, its not intended to label or offend anyone.
My family was not terribly religious or spiritual in a sense of talking about those things, as a teen I got involved with a pentecostal church later being introduced to drugs by the same person that took me there and back to doing my own thing. Later through a girlfriend i got back to the christian thing with a small independent group and then the earlier church and bible college. Eventually this became frustrating and I walked away to deal with the baggage and psych type of issues that arose through that period.
At present I am somewhat eclectic spiritually (though disliking the eclectic label and culture) though reasonably atheist and skeptical about most of it. I've been a member of TOTJO and more recently Church of Jediism, but not participating much because real face to face community is moe what i need then online/virtual ones.

Welcome to JD Czarnibog! I pretty much share your thoughts about Dark and Light stereotypes. I think Je'daiism can be a very valid path. I also agree about the necessity of offline communities but in my experience it is not very easy to find same minded persons offline, especially when it comes to the Force Users paths. Actually one of my goals is to organize regular offline meetings and events for Force Users.
