What is Jedi?
what is Sith?
What is Je'daii?
If you have not already noticed...the world of Force-Users is not a uniform one.
People come and go with the titles of Jedi and Sith and yet, what does that really mean? I have been to many Temples, many forums on both the Light and Dark Sides. The thing I noticed is that, each Temple teaches a code differently than the next. Take the difference between TotJO and IJRS.
Both of them are Jedi Temples...but one focuses on Jedi-Realism more like a Religion, and mixes the Jedi Code with Christianity to make it something of a lawful-good Path that is right in the way of a God. Now, IJRS is more free-thinking. They explain the Jedi way and Force-using as something that can be a religion, can be a lifestyle...or can literally be both. They accept and encourage people to mix former faiths with the Jedi way just as chocolate syrup compliments vanilla ice-cream, but, it is not necessary.
Their Jedi-Realism courses focus mostly on the self (which is odd) going into psychological matters, talking about personal feelings to overcome obstacles which may be causing stagnation...and, I have found their version of Jedi is more to parr with that of the Fictional characters, and an actual Knighthood/Learning Community.
So who is more Jedi here? Who is right and who is wrong? Why should the Jedi path be uniform, why should it remain different across the board, and/or why even define it at all? Does it even matter?
Same goes for Sithism...what is Sith?
Sith Academy (SA) used Sithism as a way to create chaos and destruction...to belittle people in order to make them rise up, and those that did not rise up, were mentally destroyed (as much as possible). But OotS is different. Sure they still use the Sith Code, yes, they consider themselves Dark, but the way they work is more in a philosophical manner. No chaos, no destruction, no belittling people...just talking. Discussions to help empower oneself, to better the self, and to become stronger and more aware. Still they are realistic thinkers, logical people, and have their feet on the ground as I would imagine real Sith to be.
But, again, which ones is really Sith? More Sith?
[Red Sith? Blue Sith?]
Which one is right and which one is wrong? Are either of them wrong? Again, do we need something of uniformity in the name of The Force? Does it even matter?
I ask this, because some people honestly care about the way that Jedi and Sith are used. Sometimes they take using the word as insult, because their ideas of what true Sith and what true Jedi would be have not been fully met (sometimes not even close). But, why would titles affect someone? Say there came to be another Je'daii forum/temple...but the teachings were different, were modified, and kinda twisted from what you know. Does that mean that someone else from that other place would be less Je'daii? Would they prevent from learning? Would their title insult you as Je'daii yourself? Why?
Just some random questions and things to look over. i look forward to the responses.
